Caitlin and Kyle | Wedding at The Treasury | Pontiac, MI
Caitlin and Kyle’s grand wedding at The Treasury in Pontiac, MI was the epitome of classic elegance. These two have such an adorable story, and I’m so excited to share it with you. From the first look to the dance floor, I loved being a part of this couple’s big day.
Caitlin and Kyle met at a wedding….
The bride told Caitlin that she had to meet one of the groom’s friends, Kyle. Caitlin was a little nervous about the awkwardness of a set up, especially at a wedding, so she asked her friend not to tell Kyle about her until they were introduced. Well, the bride didn’t exactly honor Caitlin’s request. She told Kyle to come to the wedding alone because she was confident that he would meet his match. And she was right! During cocktail hour, when the bride spoke to Kyle about his potential date, he told her, “I hope it’s the girl in the green dress,” which just so happened to be Caitlin. Kyle introduced himself and they were inseparable for the rest of the reception. They even went on their first official date that night! They grabbed a late-night meal at a local food truck court, and they made it official about a week later.
After 6 months of dating, Kyle proposed to Caitlin at the Hines Park Lightfest. It was Caitlin’s first time, and she had been out of town for a few days prior, so the special plans didn’t phase her. She had no idea it was coming! At the end of the event, Kyle pulled over to take a picture with Caitlin. After taking a (very blurry) picture, Kyle stopped Caitlin before she got back into the car, and as another car’s headlights created a spotlight, Kyle got down on one knee. Caitlin’s first instinct was to ask him if he asked her Dad, but then she quickly said yes!
The couple chose The Treasury as their wedding venue because they wanted a venue that was classic and timeless. They were blown away by the grandness of The Treasury, and they loved that the ceremony and reception could both be held at one location. With its historic and sophisticated architectural details, the building truly speaks for itself, which allowed for minimal elegant wedding décor featuring black and white with green accents.
After their first look and a few minutes for just the two of them, Caitlin and Kyle said “I do” in front of their friends and family. From there, the couple and their guests enjoyed a unique dining experience with interactive strolling dinner stations (so cool!). For their wedding cake, the couple opted for an all-black cake which added to the classic ambiance of their décor. Caitlin and Kyle wanted most of the night to be dedicated to dancing, so the couple and their guests couldn’t wait to make their way to the dance floor.
As the dancing commenced, we snuck away to take a few photos in the vault at The Treasury. I love the way these photos came out, and they complement the couple’s elegant style perfectly.
Caitlin and Kyle, I loved having the opportunity to be a part of your wedding day! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness.
